VI.  FINANCIAL

A.    DUES

         Troop dues are $15.00 per quarter, payable at the beginning of each quarter (January, April and July). Dues for
October, November and December are included in the re-charter fee of $25.00, which also includes annual registration
fees (yearly registration and Boy’s Life subscription) paid to the National Boy Scout office.

         Any scout not caught up on his dues within 2 quarters (and/or camp fees) will not be awarded merit badges or
ranks. They will not be permitted to attend camp outs until dues are brought to date.  There will need to be a parent
conference with Treasurer & Committee Chair if these situations do arise.

Webelo Scouts joining the Troop, Scouts transferring from another Troop, or new Scouts will begin paying dues in the
month they join. The transfer cost for Scouts transferring from another Troop will be paid by this Troop.


B.    
FUND RAISERS

The majority of the funds needed for the Troop to function come from Troop fund raisers. Several of these are
conducted throughout the year and are selected by the Patrol Leaders Council. These fund raisers can be placed as
needed & as approved by Committee Members:

1.       All profits go to the Troop for Troop equipment and activities.
2.       All profits go to individual accounts to be used by the Scouts to pay for summer camp, regular camp outs or
personal Scout equipment.
3.       The Troop Committee (adults / parents) may occasionally conduct separate fund raisers for the Troop, and
parents may choose to make personal donations to the fund raisers.
4.       The Troop Committee may choose to split the funds raised between the Troop accounts and the Scouts
individual accounts.
5.        For those parents not wishing for their scout to participate in a fund raiser there will be an option to “buy out”.  
This “buy out” amount will be determined by Troop committee prior to the start of fund raiser,. (ie fund raiser Profit
$50.00-Buy Out is $50.00).
6.         If a Scout transfers to another Troop, the monies he has earned will be transferred to his new Troop when
requested by that Troop's Committee Chairperson within 90 days. If a Scout leaves scouting all remaining monies in his
individual account are transferred to Troop 977's general budget account and are not available to the Scout.
